Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has distributed over 100 vehicles to judges and members of various boards and commissions within the state.
The Governor performed the symbolic presentation of the vehicles at the Government House in Minna on Wednesday.
Speaking at the event, Governor Bago stated that the distribution of the vehicles was necessary to alleviate transportation challenges faced by state officials and to enhance their mobility in the discharge of their duties.
The Governor, often referred to as the “Farmer Governor,” enjoined the beneficiaries to use the vehicles judiciously to ensure effective service delivery for the people of Niger State.
Symbolic presentations were made to several key institutions, including: members of the Judicial Service Commission and various Judges, and
Niger State Secondary Education Board and the State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).
Others are officials in the Civil Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission, and the House of Assembly Service Commission, and
Law Reform Commission and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission.
The initiative is part of the administration’s broader effort to provide the necessary tools and infrastructure for public servants to perform their roles efficiently.
