Gov Bago donates N86m to AKU first matriculating students

Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state has approved N1 million for each of the 86 first set of the matriculating students as scholarship and 50 slots for medicine, medical science students to study abroad with 50% subsidy.
He made the disclosure during the Abdulkadir Kure University Minna,, maiden matriculation of 2023/2024 academic session, saying that his target is the children of the poor and less privileged.
Governor Bago’ further stated that N500 million has also been approved for the university to kick start other purposes and N15 billion to build the instruction’s hostels and Senate buildigs respectively.
He announced the dissolution of Collage Of Education to Abdulkadir Kure University (AKU) Minna, urging the provost and the entire staff to report to the university Vice Chancellor as the state assembly passed a bill approving the it as a conventional university in the state and country
