Gov. Bago greets SGF Akume @ 71

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has celebrated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Senator George Akume as he marked his 71st birthday.
In a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, described the SGF as an extraordinary administrator and a quintessential leader.
Governor Umar Bago highlighted how the SGF tremendously contributed to deepening democracy and nation-building when he served and rose to the pinnacle of his career in the Federal Civil Service, and became Governor of Benue State for 8 years.
The governor further hinted that the celebrant also served as a Senator from 2007 to 2019, and thereafter became a Minister of the Federal Republic between 2019 and 2023 from where he was appointed as the SGF.
He maintained that the track record of the Septuagenarian is outstanding, reflecting the administrative competence, intellectual capacity, dedication, and commitment of the former lawmaker to improving the nation.
