Gov. Bago to construct 1,500km roads in 4yrs

Niger State Government has flagged off the construction of 1,500 kilometer roads which will continue for the next 4 years of the current administration in the state.
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago disclosed this at the official groundbreaking ceremony for the rehabilitation and construction of Minna township roads under the urban renewal project.
Governor Bago explained that explained that the rehabilitation and construction of township roads would easy traffic, reduce accidents, improve socio economic activities and create job opportunities during the projects.
Earlier, the state commissioner for works and infrastructure Suleiman Umar said the project consist of five Interchanges/Flyovers at City Gate Roundabout, Shiroro road Roundabout, Paiko Police Station Roundabout, Mobile Roundabout, Obasanjo Complex Roundabout and Kpakungu Roundabout.
He also reiterated the commitment of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development to providing the needed monitoring and supervisory function in ensuring that these projects are all delivered timely and according to the stipulated specifications.
In there separate remarks the speaker Niger state house of assembly Abdulmalik Sarkindaji, chairman chanchaga local government as well as chairman boss local government commended the efforts of the governor, while assuring him of their continuous support and cooperation in line with the present economic situation and a New Niger policy
Also the Managing Director CCECC Nigeria limited David Wang stressed that when the project is completed it will reduce traffic congestion, improve traffic conditions, urban rehabilitation situation and attract investment and tourism in the state.
