Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has felicitated with Christians in the state on the celebration of Easter and implored them to sustain prayers for lasting peace in the state and Nigeria.
The Governor in his Easter message in Minna maintained that Easter is a significant celebration observed by Christians to reflect on the love and sacrifice exemplified by Jesus who is the foundation of Christianity.
He enjoined them to celebrate Easter solemnly and exhibit the virtues of love, selflessness, forgiveness, perseverance, as well as sacrifice, which are the hallmarks of the celebration.
Bello however urged Christians to use the period to pray for lasting peace and security in the state in particular and the nation in general.
He wished the Christian faithfuls a hitch free and successful celebration and assured Nigerlites of his commitment to effective service delivery till the end of his tenure.
