Gov Bindow proposes to spend N162.7bn in 2018 fiscal year

The Adamawa state government has presented a budget proposal of N162.7
billion to the state house Assembly for 2018 fiscal year.
Making the presentation of the budget proposal christened ‘ Budget of Hope and Empowerment’ to the assembly Wednesday,tGovernor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla disclosed that the budget is made up of N786,619,131 for re-current expenditure while the sum of N8,417,900 for capital expenditure.
Governor Jibrilla pointed out that, massive infrastructure development, education, health, agriculture, housing and urban development are the top priority of the budget proposal.
Receiving the budget proposal, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.Kabiru Mijinyawa stated that the timely presentation of the budget estimate would hasten its early passage.
Mijinyawa appreciated the level of progress made on the 2017 budgets and promised that 2018 budget would be passed before the year runs out.
It would be recalled that governor presented a budget of N105, 459,016, 000 House of Assembly for the outgoing year
