Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni has assured of special self- reliance economic empowerment programmes to support women in the state.
He stated this on Saturday in Damaturu when he received APC women representatives from Potiskum local government area who paid a solidarity visit to the Governor.
The Governor advised women in the state to engage in economic ventures to improve their personal economy.
He pledged that his administration would introduce special packages to women across the state “government would introduce new measures that would support and promote self-reliance, and improve the economy of women.
Governor Buni presented each of the visiting women with a deep freezer, saying “government would extend the gesture to other women groups and individuals across the 17 local government areas.
“You should please avoid selling out materials given to you to help yourselves and improve your businesses.”
