The Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni on Monday Swon-in Baba Mallam Wali as substantive Secretary to Yobe State Government (SSG), at Banquet Hall, government house Damaturu, state capital.
Gov. Buni charged Baba Mallam Wali to commit his wealth of experience to employ cost-effective measures for the government to save costs and channel more resources into people-oriented projects and programmes that would add value to the lives of our people.
“As the Secretary to the State Government, l enjoin you to champion the delegation of duty and responsibilities to all officers under the supervision of their superiors to groom more competent officers as others go on retirement.
“It is by doing so, that the state would harvest more proficient officers trained by your rich wealth of experience and knowledge.”
Buni adds that, “I am convinced that the principle of division of labour and shared responsibilities would enhance efficiency and speed, and check unnecessary administrative bottlenecks that slow down government businesses.” Gov. assured.
“I have no doubt in Baba Malam Wali’s sense of commitment to duty, patriotism, loyalty and proactive approach to service. I, therefore, implore you to redouble your efforts to support the government to achieve its set target of improved service delivery to the people.”
