Yobe state governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni yesterday commissioned a 1.5 kilometers road project with a 3.0 kilometers concrete drainage constipated in Baban Gida town, the headquarters of Tarmuwa local government area of the state.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the governor called on the community to take ownership of the project in order to lengthen it’s lifespan.
He also assured that his administration would, based on available resources, so what is humanly possible to improve their standard of living as he promised during his electioneering campaign tour in the provision of social infrastructure in areas of health, education among others.
Speaking earlier, the state commissioner of works, Engr. Umar Wakil applauded the effort of the state governor pointing out that the project would go a long way in reducing the problem of rural to urban migration.
