The Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, on Saturday declared open a three day retreat for members of the State Executive Council in Kano.
In a Press release by Gov. Buni’s Director General for Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, said the retreat was coming just one week after the inauguration of council underscores the commitment of his administration to get the commissioners on one page for better understanding of the policy direction of the government for effective and efficient execution of government policies, programmes and projects.
He charged the Commissioners on Due Process saying, transparency must be maintained in doing government businesses.
Buni further said his administration will build on the successes recorded in the last four years to improve the lives of the people.
He rolled out the pririority areas of his government in the next four years to include security, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, wealth creation and employment, and infrastructural development.
Others include commerce and industry, water and environment, and climate change among others.
