The Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni has distributed 17 new vehicles to the newly elected All Progressives Congress (APC) local government chairmen across the state’s 17 local government areas.

The presentation of the vehicles was conducted by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana, who informed the gathering that the gesture is aimed at facilitating the chairmen’s activities and rallying support for the ruling party’s policies and programmes in their respective localities.

While handing over the keys to the beneficiaries, the Deputy Governor advised them to make good use of the vehicles.

He further urged them to eschew bitterness and work towards uniting supporters against political betrayals.

He stressed that the local government party chairmen must abide by the principles and guidelines of the APC and liaise with critical stakeholders in all their activities.

He added that Governor Buni has confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandate and ensure the party’s success at all levels.

Speaking earlier, the state APC Chairman, Hon. Muhammad Gadaka, thanked stakeholders for their support and understanding during the recent congresses.

He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to delivering the APC in their various local governments.

Gadaka further warned that the vehicles are not for sale and should be strictly used for party activities.
