The Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi Foundation has commended Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, for his unwavering support to Islam, Qur’anic education, and the propagation of Islamic values.
The commendation came during a courtesy visit to the Governor at the Government House, Damaturu, as part of activities marking the Foundation’s annual Maulud celebration in honour of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani.
Chairman of the Foundation, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, said Yobe was chosen to host the anniversary in recognition of Governor Buni’s “long-standing commitment to Islamic activities and support for religious growth.”
He noted that the event attracted participants from Morocco, Algeria, and other countries, as well as delegates from across Nigeria, who converged in Damaturu to celebrate the Maulud and pray for peace and progress in the nation.
“We sincerely appreciate Yobe State for supporting this programme. We assure you of our continuous prayers for the state, for other states across the country, for our leaders, and for lasting peace in Nigeria,” Sheikh Ibrahim said.
The clerics also reaffirmed their admiration for Governor Buni’s dedication to the promotion of Islam and pledged sustained spiritual support for the success of his administration.
