Gov. Buni sponsors over 576 graduates to Nigerian Law School

In a testament to his commitment to education and human capital development, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, through the Yobe State Scholarship Board, has sponsored more than 576 law graduates to the Nigerian Law School since 2019.

This initiative highlighted the governor’s dedication to empowering young professionals and fostering the growth of the legal profession in Yobe State.

Each sponsored graduate received a brand-new laptop alongside full tuition coverage, alleviating the financial burden on the students and allowing them to concentrate fully on their studies.

To date, the initiative has cost the Yobe State government over N500 million.

The Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Scholarship Board, Dr. Kagu Abubakar, praised Governor Buni for his steadfast support of legal education. He noted that the program is paving the way for a future defined by justice and legal excellence in Yobe State and beyond.

Beneficiaries of the initiative have expressed deep gratitude to Governor Buni for providing this life-changing opportunity. They emphasized that the financial relief has enabled them to excel in their legal training without the constraints of monetary concerns.

This program aligns with the governor’s broader vision of promoting academic excellence through scholarships and financial aid, while contributing to the socio-economic development of Yobe State.
