Gov. Buni swears in commissioners

The Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has sworn in Commissioners including that for Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmad Buba Abba Kyari from Tarmuwa local government area of Yobe state.
Governor Buni assured that his administration will continue to provide opportunities for youths to thrive, saying he will pursue policies and programmes to ensure economic prosperity in the state.
Governor Mai Mala Buni gave the assurance during the swearing in ceremony of new commissioners today at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Damaturu.
“Government is meant to help the youth. We are in government because of our youths. The youths must be the priority of our government, because they are the majority.” Buni said.
Governor Buni also reassured the youths that his administration will continue to appoint more youths as Local Government Chairmen, Councillors, Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs) and scholarship support to enable them contribute more to the development of the state.
Meanwhile, the youngest commissioner, Arc. Ahmad Buba Abba Kyari has promised to abide by the oath of allegiance and oath of secrecy he has sworn to protect. He has also promised to discharge his duties in his Ministry with deligence, loyalty and sacrifice, to promote good governance and service delivery in the state.
