…Says N10bn spent on insurgency in Yobe
Over N495 million was yesterday raised for the support of Governor (Dr.) Ibrahim Gaidam 2015 re-election campaign with the highest donation of N100 million coming from the chief launcher, Senator Ikechukwu Abana.
Speaking earlier, the governor pointed out that the biggest campaign issue in the 2015 election in Yobe state would be about security of lives and properties which the federal government has failed to address leading to large lost of lives and properties in the state.
He also disclosed that the state government has spent an accumulative sum of over N10 billion from the beginning of the insurgency to date,adding that the security challenges has slowed down the execution of government planned policies and programmes because funds that could have been used for the provision of social services are being deployed to support the fight against insurgency.
He therefore called on the electorates to rise up and vote out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) out of office in the center and vote in the All Progressive Congress (APC) at all elective posts from the local, state to the national level.
