The Taraba state governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas on Wednesday sworn in a new High Court Judge, two Khadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal, and newly appointed Special Advisers in the state.
Kefas noted during the ceremony, held at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House in Jalingo that, the new High Court Judge, Khadis and Special Advisers would play a crucial role in driving the administration’s policies and programs.
He urged the new High Court Judge and Khadis to dispense justice without fear or favour, noting that public confidence in the legal system depends on their commitment to the rule of law.
He charged the newly sworn-in judicial officers to uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and integrity in their duties.
“The judiciary remains the bedrock of democracy. Their appointments were based on merit and their proven capacity to deliver results that will positively impact the lives of the people,” he said.
In the same vein, governor Agbu Kefas also inaugurated members of the Persons Living with Disabilities Commission, stressing that his administration focus on institutional strengthening, inclusive governance, and sustainable development in Taraba State.
