The council Chairman of Wukari Local Government, Hon. Bala Useni on Monday said the revival of the Nwonyo Fishing Festival by Agbu Kefas has placed Taraba state on the global tourism map.
The council chairman also described the events as a major boost to cultural preservation, youth engagement, and economic revitalisation in the state.
In a statement released to journalists on Monday, Hon Useni commended governor Kefas for hosting the historic Nwonyo Fishing Festival in Ibi, and his active participation in the Jukun Youth Day celebrations held over the weekend in Wukari.
