Despite the crisis rocking the main opposition Peoples (PDP), Zamfara state governor, Dauda Lawal, has rubbished the talks making the rounds that he plans to dump the party and decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Gov Lawal, in a post shared on his verified X handle reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, as he described himself as a bona fide member of the party and part of the ‘rescue mission’ being propelled by the PDP.

“I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on,” he said.
