Governor Uba Sani has been conferred with traditional title of ‘Chat Atyap’ (lover of Atyap people), by the Paramount Ruler of Zangon-Kataf, the Agwatyap, Chief Dominic Gambo Yahaya, as he flagged off the construction of Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition City at Samaru Kataf and other projects across the eight local government areas of Southern Kaduna.
The Skills City which is designed to train 800 youths annually across several vocations, is the second to be flagged off by Governor Sani. The first was sited in Igabi Local Government Area to serve Kaduna Central, while the one flagged off at Samaru Kataf will serve the Southern Kaduna Zone.
Other projects flagged-off in Southern Kaduna on Saturday included; Construction of 1km Surface Dressing with Reinforced Drainage and Culvert at Zango Township Road, Rehabilitation of vandalized Transformers and upgrade of Power Supply lines across the 8 Local Government Areas at Local Government Secretariat Jema’a, Kafanchan and Installation of 2,000 Solar Street Lights Across the 8 Local Government Areas at Local Government Secretariat, Jema’a, Kafanchan.
Receiving the Governor at the his Palace, Agwatyap applauded Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to rural development and identifying with the people of Zango-Kataf
According to him, “Your Excellency the people of this chiefdom will remember this date And you in particular forever. We remain grateful and promise our unflinching support to your Excellency’s programs and projects. Your presence here is testimony and your confirmation of your stated desire and wish to transform the rural areas of this state.
“We also appreciate your Excellency for the peace we are enjoying at the moment, having gone through traumatic insecurity challenges and experiences this past four years. Since coming into office, you State your desire to secure the state and your body language has seen gradual return of peace and security in this Chiefdom.
