Following the expiration of the tenure of the eleven (11) Local Government Chairmen, the Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya,
has approved the appointment of senior personnel to oversee the affairs of the LGAs) across the state.
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the governor’s approval, also announced the appointment of officials to manage the affairs of the 13 newly created Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
According to the SSG, all appointees were drawn from among serving secretaries and individuals within their respective LGAs.
This action is aimed at sustaining governance structures and ensuring continuity in service delivery at the local level.
