Gov Yari’s performance, a sign for APC’s victory in 2015, says Buhari

Former head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), has described the performance recorded so far in terms of infrastructural development by the administration of Governor AbdulAzeez Yari Abubakar, of Zamfara state, as clear sign that APC will record victory, come 2015 general elections in the state.

The APC chieftain, who made the pronouncement at the commissioning ceremony of a 75-kilometre distance road constructed by the administration of Governor Yari to mark its 3rd year anniversary, which engulfed the whooping sum of 7.1 billion naira, expressed satisfaction that the state would soon regain its lost glory in the aspect of commercial activities.

Buhari further contended that, only the construction of roads as embarked upon by the state government could facilitate rapid development for both farming and marketing, the most two integral issues which have a direct impact on common man at rural areas. In a similar development, the Speaker, House of representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has commended the total construction of Kaura Namoda to Gusau, a 31 kilometre road federal project by the Zamfara state government, saying it has been kind of effort that a crawling economy needs to fast track the development of the state and the nation at large.

He pledged to ensure necessary intervention of national assembly for the reimbursement of all the monies spent by the state government for the construction of the road that believed would encourage commercial activities in the state.

Earlier, Governor Yari said his administration had to embark on roads constructions across the state, being a fulfillment of promise made to the people of the state during his campaign days, adding that, “No meaningful development must be achieved without road network”.
