Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has received a prestigious award from the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) in recognition of his administration’s outstanding efforts to promote peace, stability, and inclusive governance throughout the state.

The Nigeria Broadcasting Award was presented at the BON Awards Ceremony held at the NAF Conference Center in Abuja on April 8, 2026. It was received on behalf of the Governor by the Honorable Commissioner of Information and Culture, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki.

In his remarks, Maiyaki called the honor a strong endorsement of Governor Uba Sani’s people-focused leadership and the effectiveness of the administration’s peacebuilding strategy, widely known as the Kaduna Peace Model. “This recognition affirms that Kaduna’s approach to peacebuilding—based on dialogue, justice, and inclusion—is producing real results,” Maiyaki said.

According to Maiyaki, the administration has achieved measurable progress in reducing tensions and violent incidents while fostering renewed unity among the state’s diverse communities. He also noted that the peace efforts are supported by targeted investments in economic empowerment, education, and infrastructure development—key areas that continue to drive stability and growth across Kaduna State.

Governor Uba Sani, in his message of thanks, dedicated the award to the people of Kaduna State, calling it a reflection of their collective resilience and commitment to peaceful coexistence. “We will build on the progress made and maintain policies that support inclusive development,” he stated.

The BON award highlights Kaduna State’s growing recognition as a model for subnational peacebuilding, with the Kaduna Peace Model gaining prominence as a practical framework for fostering unity and long-term stability in Nigeria.
