Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had reiterated Kano State Government’s readiness to partner with any organization willing to assist citizens of the state to improve their well-being and socioeconomic development.
Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf made this known when he received a courtesy visit from the officials of a Turkish Humanitarian Foundation, IDDEF who visited him at the Government House on Tuesday.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad said Governor Yusuf’s pledge to collaborate with IDDEF aligns with his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of Kano State citizens as the partnership is expected to yield positive outcomes, enhancing the state’s humanitarian landscape and contributing to the welfare of its people.
The governor explained extensively on the committement of his administration to humanitarian various programs and initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty, empowering vulnerable groups, and providing support to those in need.
He also highlighted feats achieved by his administration in more than two years in the areas of education, health care, infrastructure and skills acquisition to mention but a few.
He doffed hat to IDDEF Humanitarian Foundation looking forward to a fruitful collaboration to drive positive changes and development in the state.
Earlier in a remark, a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Sheikh Rasul Jawad said the foundation was founded thirty years ago by a Turkish Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Mahamud Ifandi and is operating in 60 countries including Nigeria.
Sheikh Rasul Jawad added that the founder of the foundation focuses on educating millions of students and offering other humanitarian services for the betterment of their lives and the larger society.
In an opening remark, the coordinator of the Foundation in Nigeria, Dr. Askiya Nasiru Kabara explained in details humanitarian interventions offered by the foundation in the areas of education, health, potable drinking water and circumcision of male children among others.
Dr. Askiya Nasiru Kabara announced the establishment of a College in Kano that was named after the foundation’s founder, Sheikh Mahamud Ifandi and is about to start operation any moment from now.
