Former Chelsea FC manager Avram Grant might be back at Stamford Bridge as pressure on Frank Lampard grows.
Despite a heavy summer spending spree, Chelsea finds themselves placed ninth on the league table after a perfect start to the season.
Sky Sports now reports that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is mulling over a move to bring Grant back in a role on Lampard’s staff.
The 65-year-old who managed the Blues for one season in 2007/08, having originally been appointed in a director of the football role, has been vocal about the club performance and recently took to Instagram to share his opinion on their form.
“About the current situation, I can say only this. You need to be strong when things are not going well. When things are going well, everyone is a genius and knows what to do. But in a situation like this when things aren’t going well you need to be strong, look for solutions, and show a lot about your character,” part of his Instagram post noted.
