Group commemorates international day against bullying, violence in Kaduna

In commemoration of the International Day Against Bullying and Violence, the Hope for Communities and Children (HforCC) has partnered with safe school advocates to sensitize learners and teachers against acts of violence and bullying in schools.
The program, with support from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), took place at the Kaduna State Special School yesterday.
In his address, the Programs Officer of HforCC, Mr Simeon Oladele said the theme: Protect, educate, empower: Learners called for safe and inclusive schools, highlights the vital role of learners in shaping educational policies and practices.
He disclosed that the decision to commemorate International Day by organizing local programs involving learners and youths is to raise awareness and urge leaders to fulfill their commitments to ensure safe learning environments.
