Group empowers 115 Kaduna youths

A group, Kaduna Entrepreneurship Volunteerism Service, KADEVS, has trained and empowered one hundred and fifteen youths from the twenty three local government areas of the state to make them productive and employable.
The youths were trained for four weeks at the Kaduna State University KASU,in various fields like fashion and tailoring, wielding , CCTV operations and carpentry.
Speaking during closing ceremony held in Kaduna yesterday, the Director Entrepreneurship, Research and Development Center ERDC of Kaduna State University,Dr. Helen Afang Andow who is the Coordinator of KADEVS said the scheme is kaduna state response to the high rate of youth unemployment in the state.
She added that the Center believe that Volunteerism is a noble solutions to the growing unemployment challenges.
In his remark the Vice Chancellor of kaduna state University Professor Muhammad Tanko said the challenge of unemployment bedeviling the state is not without solution.
He advised the beneficiaries not to sell the starter Pack they received.
One of the beneficiaries Aminu Idris from Zaria Local Government Area, thank Kaduna State Government for the opportunity given to him to become employable.
