A Group under the auspices of Coalition of opt Civil Society Group (CNSCG) has faulted the recent presidential order declaring Zamfara State No Flight Zone, saying it has sinister motives.
This was contained in a statement signed by Comrade Abdulsalam Mohd Kazeem of Unified Nigerian Youth Forum, Comrade Eric Joseph United Igbo Council world wide, Ahmed Ibrahim Ayotade Odua Youth and Students Initiative, Comrade Isah Abubakar Northern Youth Council of Nigerian and Comrade Yusuf Lawal of Concerned Arewa Youth Vanguard.
The statement further stated that the decision is nothing but a political influenced decision and delibrate act of intimidation.
The Group added that the Major General Babagana Moguno (Rtd), the National Security Adviser goofed because up till date Zamfara state has no functional Local or International Airport, but an Airport under construction and the work progress is below 60% completion.
“The NSA is either playing politics with this politically influences and and deliberate intimidation act on the humble personality of Zamfara State Governor, who is obviously not from the ruling party APC at the center.
“NSA and president Muhammadu Buhari should rather appreciate the effort of the governor who step in to negotiate the release of the kankara school children, an effort made purely to save the president and county face from Shame and international embarrassment without considering political difference and juriduction limit.”
