Group honors Showunmi for support towards gender inclusion

Political analyst and governance advocate Otunba Segun Showunmi has been honored by the Advocacy for the Empowerment of Nigerian Women and Children Initiative.

The award was presented to him by a powerful delegation led by Hajia Salamatu A. Abdullahi Sokoto, a vocal and articulate advocate for women’s rights and leadership in Nigeria.

We need more leaders like him who will create spaces for women to lead, thrive, and make critical decisions for the good of Nigeria,” she remarked.

A nation that denies half of its population a seat at the table of progress is only stalling its own destiny. I stand firmly with every woman aspiring to lead,” he stated.
