The Muslim Council of Nigeria (MCON), has lamented that, the security challenges were being promoted in Nigeria because of non application of prescribed punishments of the laws on perpetrators.
President of the Council, Alhaji Liadi Olapade made the assertion during the celebration of the new Islamic year, 1443, in kaduna yesterday.
MCON an umbrella body of over 70 Islamic Organisations, equally lamented that Nigeria is sick with series of security challenges ranging from banditry, kidnapping to farmer/herder clashes and violent agitations for secession.
