Ahead of the All Progressive Congress (APC) National convention on Saturday, a group under auspices of APC Youths and Students Movement (APCYSM) has appealed to aggrieved party leaders, members, and interest groups within the party to sheath their swords and work together in unison towards producing vibrant and new National Working Committee (NWC).
It also called on party leaders, stakeholders, and groups in the party to put the party’s interest first in all their dealings, as it approaches the national convention, which is expected to produce the new leadership of the party.
Its National Coordinator, Comrade Olamide Odumosu, at a world press briefing in Abuja, called on all young people in the APC not to allow any politician within and outside the party to use them as agents of destabilization and thuggery.
According to him, “We wish to appeal to all aspirants in the forthcoming national convention of our party to play the game according to the guidelines outlined by the convention planning committee and the constitution of our great party.
“We must begin to prepare and mobilise ourselves to access elective political offices and we assure our party leadership of unalloyed loyalty from our members across the federation.”
He, however commended APC Caretaker Committee under the leadership of Yobe State Governor, Mallam Mai Buni, for her efforts and commitments in nurturing the affairs of the party.
