Centre for Awareness on Justice and Accountability (CAJA) has called on Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to fulfill his promise to establish offices of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission in all the 44 Local Government areas of the state.
The anti-graft commission has been in existence since 2005, but the present administration pledged to expand its operations in all the 44 local government councils of the state.
However, the Executive Director of CAJA, Kabiru Sa’idu Dakata, at a Press Conference in Kano yesterday, said the group was reminding the Ganduje’s administration to fulfill its pledge in its ongoing anti-corruption crusade.
He advised the state government to commence the commissioning of some of the offices on 1st October, 2018 when Nigeria celebrates her independence.
He commended the Ganduje’s administration for recording unprecedented success in the fight against graft in the state, noting that the appointment of competent leaders was the reason for the success.
