A group known as APC progressives for Senator Umaru Almakura to vie for the seat of the APC National Chairman has appealed to APC control states to reason and zone the National Chairman throne to the North Central Zone.
The leader of the group Makpa Mallam made the call on Tuesday during a rally held in Lafia the state capital in order to support the candidature of Senator Tanko Almakura to be the next chairman of the party.
According to him, “we as a group firmly believed in the candidature of Almakura due to his track record of achievements. Almakura is not a new comer in the political scene of the country. He held different positions politically which brought transformation to the state and the nation as a whole”.
