The District Head of Gui in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Alhassan Yusuf, has called on the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, and the Chairman of AMAC, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, to collaborate on the dualization of the dilapidated road linking the community to the Airport Road.
Speaking with Peoples Daily correspondents during the Sallah celebrations in the area, Alhaji Yusuf also appealed to the Chairman to reconstruct and fence the community’s collapsed healthcare center to improve medical services and enhance security at the facility.
The traditional ruler urged the Chairman to utilize his second term in office to deliver the dividends of democracy to residents across the twelve political wards of the Area Council.
While promising his continued loyalty to the Maikalangu administration for the overall development of the Gui community, the monarch enjoined his subjects to remain supportive of government programs and policies at all times.
Commenting on the FCT Area Council elections held on February 21, 2026, the District Head advised politicians who lost at the polls to accept defeat in good faith rather than seeking prolonged litigation at the tribunal.
