All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) yesterday held a stakeholders meeting during which they preached peace ahead of 2023 general election.
The meeting which took place at the Area Council Chamber, received in attendance the APC Chairman in the FCT, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, the APC flag bearer for the 2023 Senatorial district in the FCT, Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi and the Secretary of the Area Council, Alhaji Mohammed Saba.
Other people who attended the APC stakeholders’ meeting were: The APC Chairman in Gwagwalada, Mr. Ahmed Baba and the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Kasim Sani Mohammed among others.
Speaking at the occasion, the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, called on the stakeholders of the party to come together in order to speak with one voice.
He also charged the party’s supporters and members to always gear towards the progress of the party for the sake of 2023 general elections.
He said the purpose of the stakeholders’ meeting was to enlighten the entire members/supports of the party on the need to arrest some pending issues affecting the party before the 2023 general elections in Gwagwalada and its environs.
The Chairman assured the entire people of Gwagwalada that his administration would continue to put smiles on their faces.
Jibrin Giri, however, thanked the party’s members/supporters as well as the executives who graced the occasion.
Also speaking, the APC Chairman in the FCT, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, called on every member of the party to work for the betterment of the party at all times.
He advised the members of APC to shun any act capable of undermining the progress of the party in 2023 elections.
On his party, the candidate of the APC for Senatorial district in the FCT, Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi tasked all the members of the APC to shun rumour-mongering and urged them to build the party in their respective wards for better.
Angulu Dobi admonished the people to always forgive and forget for the overall development of the party.
However, the Chairmen of the APC across the ten political wards graced the occasion.
