The District Head of Old Kutunku in Gwagwalada Area Council, Mr. Steve Bawa has called on the minister of the FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike to execute more people- oriented projects in the area as the chief (Aguma) of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji coronated five traditional rulers.
Bawa, who made this call while speaking to newsmen after his coronation alongside other traditional rulers in the area, commending the FCT minister for rehabilitating the dilapidated roads in Gwagwalada.
He thanked the chairman of Gwagwalada, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri as well as the Aguma of Gwagwalada for the honour done to him and others in the area, assuring that he is ready anytime to support the administration of the Area Council.
He called on the entire residents of Old Kutunku to always live in peace irrespective of religious, tribal and political differences, pointing out that he will carry every tribe along
Bawa used the occasion to appeal to the administration of the Area Council to fence the primary school at Old Kutunku ,in order to curtail the security challenges facing the school.
Also speaking, the new Village Head of Anguwan Gade in Gwagwalada, Mallam Musa Dantani, said his leadership would pay attention to the people of Anguwan Gade in terms of their co-operation, and charged his subjects to accord respect to one another.
He expressed gratitude to the Aguma of Gwagwalada and the chairman of the Area Council for turbaning him as the royal father of Anguwan Gade, saying that he is ready to co-operate with them.
Bawa advised residents of Anguwan Gade to deem it necessary to shun any act capable of generating tension before, during and after the 2026 election in the area.
On his part, the newly turbaned Village Head of Old Kutunku, AlhajiSarkin Mohammed promised to carry his people along for the sake of unity and peace.
He pleaded with the Chairman of the Area Council, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri to provide more healthcare centres at Old Kutunku community, as well to repair the dilapidated roads in Kaida Community.
Not left out, the Special Assistant on Solar to the Chairman of Gwagwalada Council, Hon. Noma Ishaka, and expressed happiness over the two traditional rulers crowned at Old Kutunku, and thanked the people who graced the coronation ceremony.
Meanwhile, the village Head of Kuje Road, Mallam Ibrahim Bawa and District Head of Wuna, Mallam Yusuf Isah were turbaned by Aguma of Gwagwalada.
