Gwagwalada co-operative society scribe suspended

The executives of Ni’imah Staff Multipurpose Co-operative Society of Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) alongside the executives of Shura Committee of the co-operative as well as the members have suspended the secretary of the co-operative,
Malam Zubairu Sani following the series of allegations leveled against him.
Malam Zubairu Sani was suspended during an emergency meeting held by the co-operative society at the council’s chamber.
However, the information officer of the Area Council, Mr Abdulmumin Umar was appointed as the secretary of the co-operative for now Speaking at the meeting, the Shura Committee Chairman, Alhaji Sani Faralu, charged the appointed secretary to discharge his duties with the fear of God.
Faralu also urged the newly appointed secretary to be transparent in handling the affairs of the co-operative in the interest of the members.
Also addressing the gathering at the meeting, the chairman of the co-operative society, Mr Abu-Bakr Umar Nana, alleged that the
suspended secretary had been engaging in financial frauds since the day he was given N20, 000 to open an account for the co-operative.
Our correspondent reports that the suspended secretary was absent during the meeting.
