The officer therefore assured the residents that the necessary facilities or materials will be provided for the smooth running of the programme in the area.

According to her, the leadership of INEC would not allow the people to collect their permanent voters’ card by proxy, while advising them to endeavour to go to their polling units to collect the cards for themselves.

The INEC officer, however, appealed to the traditional rulers to mobilize their subjects to come out en masse for the programme.

On his part, the Vice-Chairman of the area council, Hon. Saidu Abdulla hi, who represented the chairman of the council, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, said that the administration would complement the efforts of INEC by enlightening the electorates for the programme.
