England captain Harry Kane says he will be “staying at Tottenham this summer” and is “100% focused on helping the team achieve success” in the new season.
Manchester City were keen to sign Kane, who believed he had a gentleman’s agreement with chairman Daniel Levy to leave Spurs this summer.
Kane played his first game of the season on Sunday, coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Wolves.
“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success.”
Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo described Kane’s decision “fantastic news”

More than 75 people associated with the Afghanistan Women’s national football team including players, officials and their family have manage escape from the Taliban to seek refuge in Australia.
Fifpro, the global players’ union, was among several bodies in discussions with governments across the world to try secure the safe evacuation of the players.
Fifpro had been engaged with six governments for the past ten days, with the route to Australia developing around four days ago.
