The Ologolo branch of Harvesters International Christian Centre has emerged as a major topic of discussion on social media following the circulation of viral videos showing its lead pastor, Bolaji Idowu, interacting with congregants after church services.

The clips, widely shared on Facebook and X, capture the pastor engaging in extended post-service activities, including taking photographs with members and visitors after officiating multiple services, reportedly up to four in a day. The development has driven significant online engagement, with users expressing a mix of reactions.

Several posts highlighted the cleric’s availability and engagement with worshippers. One user, @Iyanu_Atwirene, described the act of taking pictures after several services as a sign of “love and sacrifice.” Others, however, raised observations about his conduct during such moments, with @amaka_Johnson questioning whether the pastor appeared reserved, citing perceived avoidance of eye contact in some clips.

The trend has also been amplified by the presence of celebrities and public figures seen attending services at the church and reportedly seeking prayers. This has prompted further debate about the growing influence of the ministry and its reach beyond traditional congregants. A user, @Samson_Adeleke, questioned the increasing number of high-profile attendees.

Supporters of the pastor have maintained that the attention reflects the impact of his teachings, with some users pointing to the relatability and depth of his messages. @Oki_Arewa noted a strong personal connection to his preaching.

Analysts say the development underscores the role of social media in shaping public perception of religious institutions and leaders, particularly in Nigeria’s evolving digital space. The sustained traction of hashtags such as #HarvestersOlogolo and #PastorBolajiIdowu indicates continued public interest in the unfolding online conversation.
