The herbal dispersers on the platform of the National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) have elected Dr Mukhtar Jibrin Lamiru as the chairman of the herbal hawkers in the country.
The election took place at the Kaita Plaza during the inauguration of the presidential committee on the herbal distributors in Gwagwalada.
Speaking at the occasion, the National president of NANTMP, Alhaji (Dr) Shaba Maikudi, said the presidential committee was inaugurated to enable the herbal practitioners to meet up with WHO standard.
He also said the presidential committee was formed to enable the herbal hawkers to create a proper awareness on the traditional herbs to the public.
He advised the herbal practitioners to come together in order to move the NANTMP to the next level.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Board of Trustee of NANTMP, Dr (Alhaji) Bashir Shehu Adamu, expressed joy as the presidential committee on the herbal hawker was inaugurated.
On his part, the publicity secretary of NANTMP, Dr Abdullahi Zumbur, urged the herbal practitioners to co-operate with the authorities of NANTMP to achieve the desired goals or the traditional medicine healers.
