To enhance reproductive and maternal healthcare in the FCT, the Health Services and Environment Secretariat (HS&ES), in partnership with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), has successfully rolled out Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, and Newborn Health (SRMNH) training program for healthcare professionals.

It was gathered thar the initiative aims to upgrade healthcare workers’ skills in delivering essential services at Primary Health Care centers and secondary facilities in the Territory.

Also, SRMNH targets to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates.

Furthermore, the initiative, according  to the HS&ES will empower women to make informed reproductive choices through increased awareness.

“By strengthening the capacity of healthcare workers, we’re poised to make a significant impact on reproductive and maternal healthcare in the FCT”, the HS&ES of the FCT Administration headed by its  Mandate Secretary,,Dr. Adedolapo Fasawe,  stated via its official Facebook page.

“On this International Women’s Day, the NUJ FCT Council stand in solidarity with women worldwide, celebrating their achievements and advocating for a future where leadership knows no gender”, it stated.
