On the 31st Dec. 2022 , a commander in the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service ( NHFSS ) , Evans E. Aboli was sacked by the headquarters of the body in Kaduna State following long unrest in the command and was replaced by Haruna saidu Dogo who was widely supported by the officers in the command. Barely one year after, Dogo was elevated to A.C.G. operations in a suspicious attempt to bring back Mr Evans. This action provoked the members and forces them to protest and issues a threat that if the headquarters refuses to sack the new commander, Mr Evans, they’ll open a can of worms to the public on how the new commander was brought back to the position, a situation they said will tarnish the image of the body.
The aggrieved members vows to continue the struggle with a promise of releasing facts to support their claims. Members numbering about 30 gathered to issue a press release and promise to seek the intervention of the state government in their efforts to ensure Justice prevailed. The members claimed that crisis engulf the command since the reinstatement of the commander. They suspected that Dogo was elevated just to provide a justification for the reinstatement of Evans. The aggrieved persons also opined that one of the existing commander in the State should be allowed to continue with the affairs of the command or someone else should be promoted since they have a lot of qualified persons that are good to handle that position in Kaduna State Command.
