Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, who plays as a right-back for French club Paris Saint-Germain, says his dream is to win titles with the Moroccan national team.
Speaking to Prime Video Sport France, Hakimi said he also desires to win the UEFA Champions League with his club.
When asked about his favorite moments throughout his career so far, the right-back mentioned Morocco’s run at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where the team finished in fourth place.
The player also mentioned his winning the Champions League title with Real Madrid, despite not playing much for the team.
“I’d also like to thank my coach, Herve Renard, who gave me the opportunity to play for Morocco’s team the first time he called me up,” Hakimi said, also thanking Real Madrid ex-head coach Zineddine Zidane for also giving him the opportunity to play.
Speaking about his personal relationships in football, Hakimi mentioned Moroccan goalkeeper Munir Mohamedi, who also plays for the national team, mentioning him as one of the friends he was able to make through football, alongside French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Considered one of the best right-backs in the world, Hakimi is known for his speed and technical versatility.
