Family of the former military head of state General Ibrahim Babangida has expressed gratitude that the former Head of State has successfully passed through a minor operation at a hospital in Germany, and is now in a stable condition.
According to them, general Babangida, who was supposed to be on a routine check-up in the last three months in Germany had delayed it due to Ramadan fast then around the corner, but had left the shores of the country, in the first week of September for the check-up.
The check had necessitated a minor operation, which was successfully carried out, while the retired General is said to be taking a rest, as requested by his doctors, before flying back into the country.
In a statement issued yesterday, some of his family members countered the speculations that the of Head of State might be critically ill and not recovering and expressed their joy, while thanking Nigerians for their prayers and support.
