The institutes of chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) has reiterated its commitment in reviewing the Accounting curriculum of the National Universities commission (NUC) to meet international standards.
This was made known when the body led by its president Dame Onome Joy Adewuyi paid a working visit on the Hon Minister of Education Adamu Adamu in his office in Abuja.
She said that this is to ensure that accounting students, and prospective ones, receive the training that would make them relevant in today’s market as well as to be equipped to face future challenges.
According to the lCAN President, they have concluded the review of the accounting curriculum of the National Universities commission (NUC) and that of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has also reached advanced stage.
