ICPC to arraign El-Rufai in Kaduna Tuesday
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it has filed two separate cases against former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai who has been in detention for a month now.
A statement by the Commission on Monday said in one of the cases coming up at the Federal High Court in Kaduna, El-Rufai and one Joel Adoga will be charged for money laundering and conversion of public property.
In the other case, the ICPC said that the chieftain of the opposition Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) will face the state High Court together with one Amadu Sule (LEDA) on charges of alleged fraud, abuse of office and attempt to commit fraud.
According to the ICPC spokesman, John Okor Odey, both cases were filed on March 18.
