The Onu Igala in the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Alabi James Okai, has called on authorities to ensure that justice is served in the case of Corps Member Salome Adaidu, who was tragically killed.

Chief Okai, speaking during a media briefing in Abuja, expressed profound grief over the death of Adaidu, describing her as a beacon of hope for her family and the Igala community.

“The tragic loss of this young and promising life is deeply saddening,” Chief Okai said, urging authorities to ensure the perpetrator faces the full weight of the law.

Representing Chief Okai, the Onu Igala Orozo and Head of Media and Communication, Comrade Chief Ahmadu Zechariah Emachi, called on the police and judiciary to expedite investigations and prosecute the offender.

“This is not just a loss to her family but a tragedy for the entire Igala people. We will ensure that her death is not in vain,” he added.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for reforms to ensure the safety of Corps members nationwide.
