As Christians in the country join the rest of the world to celebrate Christmas, renowned basketball promoter and initiator of the Mark D’ Ball Basketball Championship, Igoche Mark, has extended warm wishes to fellow athletes and the Nigerian sports stakeholders.
Mark, in a heartfelt message prayed for peace, joy, and prosperity, saying, “As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, may our hearts be filled with love, kindness, and gratitude. May our sports continue to thrive, and may Nigeria shine brighter on the global stage.”
In the spirit of Christmas, he emphasized unity and perseverance, even as he noted the significant strides of Nigerian sportsmen and women across the world.
For the Super Eagles currently participating in the African Nations Cup (AFCON) in Morocco, Mark urged them to put in their best to bring the trophy back home.
“From football to athletics, boxing to basketball, Nigerian sportsmen and women have made significant strides on the international scene. More importantly, let me wish the Super Eagles of Nigeria currently striving to win the fourth AFCON trophy success in Morocco. Merry Christmas, Nigeria!” he said.
Mark called for continued excellence and dedication, urging athletes to give their best, embodying the essence of Christmas, which is the commoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
