The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Friday received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nigeria, Salem Saeed Al-Shamsi, during a courtesy visit at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, Ambassador Al-Shamsi congratulated the IGP on his appointment and reaffirmed the commitment of the United Arab Emirates to strengthening bilateral relations with Nigeria, particularly in the areas of security cooperation and capacity development.

The envoy noted that enhanced collaboration between both countries would further promote mutual interests and support ongoing efforts to tackle emerging security challenges.

In his remarks, the IGP expressed appreciation for the goodwill extended by the UAE and underscored the importance of sustained partnerships with international allies. He emphasized that such cooperation remains critical to improving policing capacity and ensuring public safety across Nigeria.
