Alex Ikwechegh, the lawmaker caught on camera assaulting a cab driver, has been referred to the House Ethic Committee for investigation.
The resolution was a sequel to a point of order raised by the Majority Leader, Julius Ihonvbere, on Tuesday.
In a viral video that trended on social media, the lawmaker was seen assaulting Stephen Abuwatseya, a Bolt rider.
The lawmaker threatened to make the Bolt driver disappear.
However, strong backlash has been trailing his action, as many have condemned his conduct, including the Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
Ikwechegh is now facing scrutiny from his peers in the House.
He may also be suspended, if indicted after the investigation.
